Miss Bay Village Scholarship Program

Dear Miss Ohio Local Contestant:                              

Thank you for your interest in our program!  The 2010 Miss Bay Village Scholarship Program will be held Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Bay High School Auditorium, in Bay Village, Ohio. Our day will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m.  The school will open its doors at 9:30 a.m., at which time all contestants will need to bring their belongings into the school. All contestants must arrive at the school no later than 10:00 am, and be in the auditorium for orientation.  Those who are late without notification, will be eliminated from the show.

This year, our program is the kick off to the City’s bicentennial celebration, and to commemorate the event, we are pleased to add the Miss Bay’s Outstanding Teen title to our program.

Competition phases are as follows:

Personal Interview - 25%                    Swimwear – 15%      

Evening Wear - 20%

Onstage Question - 5%                       Talent – 35%

To compete, you will need a talent that does not exceed 1:30 (one minute – thirty seconds); a swimsuit of your choice (cannot be a string or thong bikini); eveningwear, and an outfit for interview. The interview consists of 9 minutes and 30 seconds of questions, followed by a 30 second closing.  In addition, you will need a cocktail dress, any color or style for the introduction production number.

In addition to the application information you will find on the Miss Ohio Website (www.missohio.com), you will also find the following forms specific to the Miss Bay Village Scholarship Program: Scholarship Rules/Regulations (Attachment “C”) Contestant Contract Addendum (Attachment “D”) and Talent Introduction Form (Attachment “E”). Make sure that you review your applications for completeness and return to me as soon as possible.

As per our Contestant Contract Addendum, your application will be complete upon receipt of the signed Contestant Contract and attachments (this includes proof of competition eligibility and a copy of your birth certificate), Contestant Contract Addendum, Contestant No-Show Rules, Contestant Platform Sheet, Contestant Application, Contestant Resume and a photograph. The photograph should be no smaller than a 5X7, and preferably a headshot.  This will be returned to you after the completion of the program.

Your completed application and all associated items must be completed and postmarked no later than January 2, 2010. Once I have received your completed packet, I will notify you via email that you are a confirmed entrant.
